Success Story - Major Online Retailer Selects ResinDek® Xspan® for Distribution Centers
The World’s largest supplier of online books, magazines, music, video, and electronics has an extensive need for reliable mezzanine flooring for their distribution centers.
Since 2001, over 300,000 square feet of ResinDek panels have been installed in four different distribution centers located in Kansas, Kentucky, and Nevada, USA.
The Kansas site is of particular interest, since it was one of the earlier projects to select ResinDek Xspan for it’s pick modules. In June of 2005, the systems integrator decided to use ResinDek Xspan instead of the traditional 3/4” ResinDek panels over 20 gauge corrugated metal roof deck, which they had used previously.
“By using ResinDek Xspan, we saved both money and time,” said Joe Phillips, Project Manager for the systems integrator. “We eliminated the corrugated metal roof deck, so there was a one stage installation rather than two. The customer has been extremely happy with the performance of the floor.”
