Challenge: Provide a mezzanine flooring solution to hold up to the load of their shelving supported mezzanine

Solution: ResinDek® Xspan® was selected because it could support the load and cut out an installation step for the distribution center by eliminating the need for B-deck

STRONG XPAN PANELS ELIMINATE METAL ROOF DECKING

Lodi Metal Tech, Inc. (LMT) designed and constructed a shelving supported mezzanine for a Western California distribution center and used ResinDek Xspan for the work platform decking. ResinDek Xspan was selected because it could support the load and the corrugated metal roof decking could be eliminated, saving Lodi Metal Tech, Inc. an installation step.

CREATING A STRONG SHELVING SUPPORTED MEZZANINE

The cold-formed structural supports were placed at 24" on center and with ResinDek Xspan panels it created an incredibly strong shelving unit. Another benefit is they chose the optional white underside of ResinDek Xspan panels which reflects light to provide a brighter work environment below.
