ResinDek® Xspan® and Xspan FR Flooring Panels

Flooring with Optional Flame Resistant Solution

ResinDek Xspan and ResinDek Xspan FR panels are 1-1/8” (28 mm) thick and have been extensively tested and approved by IBC Code Officials for use as a structural flooring system in certain applications where a metal corrugated substructure is not required.

ResinDek Xspan FR is a fire-retardant structural mezzanine floor solution that does not require a metal corrugated substructure. It meets ASTM E-84 Class A flame spread less than 25, UK Class 0, as well as European standards B-Class (BFL-s1 | B-s1,d0) for both top and bottom. Structural supports must be reviewed and approved by the ResinDek team and must be capable of supporting floor loads at specific intervals. For further details, call us and/or your local building code official.

Building Code Compliance & Structural Approval

ResinDek Xspan and Xspan FR flooring panels have received approval from IBC Code Officials for use as a structural flooring system in certain applications. All structural supports require review and approval by us to ensure proper load-bearing capacity at specified intervals. Contact our engineering team or your local building code official for application-specific requirements and compliance documentation.

Custom Panel Sizes & Surface Options

ResinDek flooring panels are custom-manufactured in multiple configurations to meet your project specifications:

  • Standard panels: up to 4′ × 10′ (1219 mm × 3048 mm) with proprietary coatings
  • MetaGard® steel surface panels: up to 4′ × 8′ (1219 mm × 2438 mm) for extreme wear applications
  • Underside finish: standard unfinished or optional high-gloss white for enhanced light reflectivity

Our precision-milled tongue-and-groove edge design ensures effective load transfer between adjacent panels. Four-sided tongue-and-groove configurations available.

Premium Manufacturing & Industry-Leading Warranty

ResinDek Xspan and Xspan FR engineered flooring panels are manufactured using our proprietary process featuring:

  • Specially sorted and processed wood fibers for consistent density
  • Custom formaldehyde-free resin formulations
  • Wax emulsifier technology for superior moisture resistance

These materials are compressed under extreme heat and pressure, creating panels with exceptional physical properties. Every ResinDek Xspan panel is backed by our comprehensive 10-year product warranty.

Fastening Systems for ResinDek Xspan and Xspan FR

Top Side Engineered Fasteners for Xspan and Xspan FR

The top side engineered fasteners for Xspan and Xspan FR provide durability, lasting performance, and simple installation. ResinDek Xspan and Xspan FR do not need corrugated metal decking and should be installed over existing steel supports. Pre-drilling may or may not be required, depending on the thickness of the steel joists/beams. COR8006 and COR8026 are both used for Xspan and Xspan FR and both have the following material attachment range: 3/4″-1-5/8″ (19.05 – 41.27 mm) Wood, .125″-.250″ (3.175 – 6.35 mm) Steel.

COR8006
Used for Tek 3 light structural steel. The drill and tap capacity range is .036”-.210” (.914 – 5.33 mm) .

COR8026
Used for Tek 4 structural steel. The drill and tap capacity range is .125”-.250” (3.17 – 6.35 mm)

Our engineered fasteners offer the following advantages:

  • Quick wood to metal mounting solution
  • Refined cutting edges improve drill performance with less effort
  • Integrated wings prevent thread engagement during drilling
  • Flat head configuration countersinks for a level finish
  • Protective coating offers corrosion resistance and easier driving

Invisi-Loc® Underside Engineered Fastening System

Invisi-Loc provides showcase mezzanine floor systems with no visible fasteners that are dependable, economical and easy to install. The Invisi-Loc under deck engineered fastening system mounts fasteners under the mezzanine decking hiding unwanted screw holes on top. Plus, when installed with our pre-punched corrugated metal decking, installation time is reduced and potentially dangerous metal shavings are eliminated.

  • 20 Invisi-Loc engineered fasteners are required per 4′ x 8′ (1219 x 2438 mm) sheet. A pneudralic installation tool and a standard medium duty air compressor supplies the required power.
  • Corrugated metal decking is pre-punched and B metal deck is fastened to the bar joists like other steel decking using drilling screws or welding.
  • All pneudralic installation tools can be rented or purchased from Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products, LLC.
  • When installed according to Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products, LLC specifications the Invisi-Loc® Underside Engineered Fastening System carries a 10-year warranty.

Collated Screws For Corrugated Steel Deck

B-Deck screws work best in roll form beams and structural steel under 3/16″ (4.76 mm) thick. Valleys less than 2-1/2″ (63.5 mm) wide may not accommodate the screwdriver. Contact Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products, LLC for additional information.

Note: Additional Fastening Systems are available, please contact Cornerstone Specialty Wood Products, LLC® for more information.
